Almost Bunny Time

Socks make great Easter bunnies and if you start now you'll finish in time. I don't think I have any bunnies left so I need to make some. I know I made a bird once so I could probably make chicks.

Sock Monkey Love

I just renewed the sock monkeys in my Etsy shop for those of you that need a Valentine's gift. You can see them on the sidebar to the right in the Etsy widget. With spring coming up I hope to get a lot more sewing done. And now I have 2 grandsons that would love some new sock monsters. Or maybe sock zombies. There are no limits when it comes to sock critters.

Make a Monster

Though this video tutorial is rather confusing, you might glean some helpful tips from it and it's fun to watch.

I'm just about to make a new batch of sock critters. One is a custom order for a pirate lemur. Still figuring out how I'm going to pull that one off. I found the perfect orange and white striped socks but I could only find 3 and the store wouldn't sell me the singleton claiming the other one had to be in the store somewhere. So I don't have enough socks to make the tail yet.

I also bought a new bag of polyfil yesterday for the socks while it was on sale at Joann's.

The week sure went by quick. I had a lot more planned but didn't have the energy to do it. My hands are still sore from woodcarving, and so I've had to lay off the knitting and crocheting. I'm looking forward to the weekend. My daughter may visit. We'll see.
